The day starts with a visit to the famous Cullinan diamond mine operated for many years by De Beers which is still operational. From Cullinan a short drive will take you to South Africa’s administrative capital known as the “Jacaranda City”.
Johannesburg is a hip & happening city and the area closest to City Hall, Newtown Cultural Precinct, which has over the years been completely transformed, forms the heart of urban renewal. You’ll visit the Hector Pieterson Memorial in Orlando West, built in memory of the people who died on 16 June 1976.
Spend a day in the unique resort of Sun City, filled with a wide range of restaurants, sports, leisure activities, golf, wonderful entertainment and gaming. The resort also houses the Valley of Waves which is a master piece of recreational water-parks in the world.
The experience starts off by proceeding to the Cheetah run area, where we have a pulley system that is approx 100 m long. The Cheetahs love this as it is a form of enrichment and exercise for them.
The Apartheid Museum opened in 2001 and is acknowledged as the pre-eminent museum in the world dealing with 20th Century South Africa, at the heart of which is the apartheid story.
